Sink Or Swim…The Devastating Truth Of Swimming In Our Emotions

    Many are unaware that we as human beings are triune beings...that's right we come in three parts…we are multidimensional and not just in shape and form…but also in creative formation by God. (1 Thessalonians 5:23).  

There are three parts to us:  First there’s our body (Genesis 2:7); Secondly there's our spirit (Genesis 2:7) and Lastly there's our soul.  The body portion of this multifaceted creation is the physical element of our being that was formed from the dust of the earth.  Our spirit is the very DNA breathed into us by God Our Creator...this is where we connect with Abba Father.  Our soul is where our emotions, thoughts and ideas are housed…everything that we have encountered in our lifetime whether good or bad…has assisted in shaping this soul of ours.  

This last house…the Soul or as many call it the Soulish Realm is the very thing that the enemy is trying to steal, kill and destroy on a continual basis.  Morning, noon and night…day in and day out.  It is sad to say but...it is in this very place that many have not taken full advantage of the Work of the CROSS.  It is here in our soul that the ENEMY OF OUR SOUL attempts to knock us off kilter.  IF we are not careful we will allow our soul to overrule and override the leading and guiding of the Holy Ghost; Who has taken up residence within our spirit on that great day of our salvation and indwelling.  

Oftentimes in the Body of Christ we see those who have professed to be free and delivered…yet not so much.  Obtaining that sure freedom takes daily work to press pass the muck and mire of our emotions. 

Our emotional and temperamental responses can and most often will stem from feelings of hurt, betrayal, pain, abandonment, mistreatment, rejection and dejection.  However, it takes us listening to and obeying the voice of the Holy Spirit as it relates to US and THIS destruction. 

Little do we know it but we have these tell-tale signs that unknowingly crop up and expose us many times when we speak and behave in various situations.  But God…But God is saying that He desires us to be FREE FROM THIS BONDAGE.  You see this cesspool that we call emotions has taken its toll on many a people…and it’s time as the PEOPLE OF GOD…to decide if we will SINK IN IT…or SWIM ASHORE TO DRY, FERTILE  land…the Heart of Abba. 

Today is a great day to leave the devastation behind and command our soul to ALIGN ITSELF WITH THE WILL AND PURPOSE OF THE FATHER…the Work of the Cross is not limited to Salvation...He was beaten and wounded, buried and has risen...so that we are emotionally clean and free.  The Love of the Father transcends all earthly experiences that we have had to encounter.  Be free today.

Galatians 5:16-24 ESV

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
